Until 2020, “in-person” was practically the only type of mental health service delivery.
Under the pandemic, in person sessions became a health risk practically overnight.
Soon it was clear, necessary infection controls dissolve the benefits of in-person sessions.

“Remote via Telehealth” means that the same mental health services
  • Diagnostic Assessment
  • Individual Therapy 
  • Couples/Family Therapy
  • Group Therapy
are delivered by video conference from a secure client portal instead of in-person.

What's A Portal....
* Simply sated, a portal is the point where two or more parties connect simultaneously on the internet
* A video session is an example of a treatment process that generates Protected Health Information (PHI)
* The HIPPA Privacy Rule defines PHI as privileged communication
* Simple Practice is the certified HIPPA-compliant platform enlisted by this practice
* "One-and-done" portal and video links, generated solely to the clinician and client, primarily secure the client
portal consistent with HIPPA mandates
